Childcare

Our child care service is registered under the Department of Education & Early Childhood Development, Children Services Regulations 2009 - Restricted Licence. Occasional Care is available for those attending our courses and activities as well as those looking to place their children in quality while they attend to their own personal needs. The child care operates Wednesday and Friday from 9:15am to 12:15pm during the school term.. Most families have a permanent booking throughout the term, and only limited places are available on a casual basis.

 

Venue Hire

The Community Centre has rooms available to hire for meetings and social functions of local community groups, not-for-profit organisations and training for commercial organisations . There are two rooms available for hire and the Computer room can be made available but solely for training purposes negotiated with Centre Management. Those interested in hiring our facility are asked to contact the Centre for further information.

 

Computer/Internet Use

Computer/Internet use is available for community members during normal business hours and outside computer class hours. We have been fortunate to access PIAP funding which allows us to provide free internet access to community members. Those interested are asked to book a time as there are limited places available.

  • Photocopying(including color) , fax and laminating facilities are available for community members at a nominal charge.

 

Free General Library and Parent Resource Library

A library of consisting of donated books, mainly fiction and craft books, is available for use by community members. We also have a Parent Resource Library available for use by parents, carers and guardians.

 

Maternal Infant/Welfare Visits

The maternal infant welfare sister visits the Community Centre on alternate Mondays. Please call the Golden Plains Shire to make an appointment.
